Gonul touts healthy Turkşsh-Brazilian ties

Meeting with his Brazilian counterpart Nelson Jobim in Ankara , Defense Minister Vecdi Gonul yesterday called Turkey and Brazil two of the world's "shining stars." At the meeting, Gonul described relations between the two countries as superb, adding that as temporary members of the UN Security Council, both Turkey and Brazil play key roles in international issues. Telling how more than 100,000 Turks moved to Brazil in the early 1900s, Gonul said this helped build a unique bridge between the two nations.
