Gul, Medvedev discuss caucasus over phone

President Abdullah Gul and his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev had a telephone conversation yesterday. According to the Presidential Press Office, the two leaders spoke about bilateral ties, the Southern Caucasus, and other regional issues. Gul also offered his condolences to Medvedev for casualties during the recent wildfires in Russia. For his part, Medvedev thanked Gul for Turkey's help in putting out the fires.
