The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) should be more transparent and inclusive than it is now, said President Abdullah Gul last week. Received ICANN head Rod Beckstrom and a delegation at the Cankaya Presidential Palace, he urged that the organization include the participation of as many countries as possible. "The UN has a Security Council with five permanent members," said Gul. "It has a privileged structure, and they have privileges like vetoes. So it's not democratic. Don't let your structure become like this."
