Holding a joint press conference with Portuguese Prime Minister Pedro Passos Coelho on Monday, President Abdullah Gul said that Turkey's completing the negotiation process successfully would be for everybody's interest.  "As of April 2013, Portuguese citizens have been able to visit Turkey only by using their ID cards. We hope that the EU will change its visa policy against Turkey and make it more understandable," Gul said.  For his part, Coelho said that political relation between Portugal and Turkey was on a great level and the signing of four agreements would boost it. Prior to the joint news conference, the following agreements were signed between the relevant departments of the two governments: Framework Agreement on Military Cooperation, Declaration on the Establishment of a Joint Economic and Trade Committee, Memorandum of Understanding on Exchange of Diplomatic Services, Cooperation Program in Education, Science, Technology, Higher Education, Culture, Sports, Youth and Press for the years 2013 and 2016.
