IMF Turkey Director Praises Turkey’s Economy

IMF Turkey Director Mark Lewis said that Turkey’s economy was based on a solid ground. Prior to a conference about stability and employment which was held by Izmir’s Yasar University, Lewis held a press conference along with International Labor Organization (ILO) Turkey Director Umit Deniz Efendioglu and Dean of Yasar University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences Prof. Erinc Yeldan. Speaking at the conference, Lewis told reporters that Turkey’s economy was in a very good situation and that it has resisted the difficulties very well in a very risky global atmosphere. Stating that Turkey could have easily succeeded in overcoming the crisis process with the help of its reforms in the field of public finance, Lewis said that now Turkey should maintain its growth.
