Israel Defense Minister visits Ankara

Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak visited Ankara yesterday as a guest of his Turkish counterpart Vecdi Gonul. During the meeting, Gonul and Barak spoke about defense industry relations as well as recent developments in the Middle East. Barak also met with Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu. At the meeting, which Turkish Ambassador to Tel Aviv Oguz Celikkol and Israeli Ambassador to Ankara Gaby Levi also attended, issues such as developments in the Middle East since Israel's operation in Gaza last year and recent tension between the two countries were discussed.
