Istanbul bigger than 122 counteries

According to the recent data received from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), 13,854,740 people currently reside in Istanbul with a population growth of 1,157,576 solely in five years between 2008 and 2012. With this recent increase, Istanbul has exceeded the total population of 122 countries around the world including Cuba (11,2 million), Belgium (11,1 million), Greece (10,8 million), Tunisia (10,8 million), Portugal (10,6 million), Czech Republic (10,5 million), Hungary (9,9 million), Sweden (9,6 million), Ireland (4,6 million) and Croatia (4,3 million).
