Janissary Band set to march in Toronto

Istanbul's Fatih Municipality Ottoman Janissary Band (Mehter) and top Turkish pianist Tuluyhan Ugurlu will perform at the two-day Toronto Turkish Festival starting on Sunday. Toronto's Turkish Festival, organized by the Canadian-Turkish Friendship Community, has been held in the first week of August each year since 2006. The festival also features traditional Turkish handcrafts and cuisine.
