Speaking at a television program on Sunday, Justice Minister Sadullah Ergin said that he would brief Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the Fourth Judicial Reform Package and Human Rights Action Plan on Tuesday. "We classified the violation verdicts by the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) under 14 main titles, set the tasks for relevant ministries and outlined a calendar for that," Ergin noted. "This is a ‘homemade' process. The possibility to reach a solution will have an impact on the regional balance. We might encounter some initiatives aimed at hindering this process. The sooner we conclude this, the lesser will be the possibilities of sabotage. We think the solution should not be delayed beyond a reasonable time," Ergin said, adding, "We prepared the constitutional amendments in 2010, taking the realities of Turkey into consideration. The Constitutional Court annulled the single vote system, but the proposal made by the Justice and Development Party (AKP) is the proposal of the party itself. The Commission doesn't have to fully agree with another proposal made by another party."
