Kazakh FM in Turkey to strengthen ties

Kazakh Foreign Minister Yerzhan Kazykhanov, on an official visit to Turkey, yesterday signed two deals with Turkish officials to strengthen bilateral diplomatic and cultural ties, praising Turkey's constructive role in the Arab Spring and expressing hope for further cooperation between the two nations. Speaking after the signing ceremony, Kazykhanov pointed to Kazakhstan's rising importance in the international arena and invited Turkey to attend the Summit of Turkic-Speaking States to be held in the capital Astana later this year.
