Laouenan slams French bill

Turkish-French Trade Association Deputy Chairman Yves-Marie Laouenan said yesterday that the bill that makes denial of the alleged Armenian genocide a punishable crime did not represent the majority of French people, as it was approved by a small community. In reply to a question why France has not prepared any bill concerning the Indian massacre by the US, Laouenan said that it has not done this, because Indians don't live in France, implying that actually the issue merely about politics. Laouenan said that friendship between Turkey and France would be damaged by the bill in a priceless way.
