Speaking to the Anatolia News Agency, Libyan Interior Minister Fawzi Abdelali said that Turkey's constitution would serve as a model for Libya. "Libya will take Muslim countries like Turkey and Malaysia as a model in the course of preparing its new constitution. We have evaluated this process during our contacts with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and several ministers both in Turkey and Libya," said Abdelali. Abdelali also thanked Turkish people and the government for extending support to Libya during its transition process and said they were exerting efforts to provide Libya with a democratic structure during its reconstruction process.
