Mikati thanks Turkey

Lebanese PM Najib Mikati saluted the Turkish government Monday for supporting Lebanon with its peacekeeping personnel. Mikati's comments came during a meeting with Turkish Ambassador to Lebanon Inan Ozyildiz. Lebanese paper Daily Star reported that Turkey, over the weekend, started to withdraw a bulk of its troops deployed as part of the UN Interim Force in Lebanon and about 280 troops were set to leave, whereas 58 remained to support the maritime task force.
