Turkey's rising per capita income is a strong indicator for the country's credit ratings, Sarah Carlson, vice president of international credit rating agency Moody's, said yesterday. As prospects of a credit rating hike for Turkey rise, as its economic performance stands out internationally, Carlson, also a senior analyst and lead sovereign analyst for Turkey, said the way its economy has grown more resilient to outside shocks was a key factor in its rating hike early this year. "Turkey passed a stress test that took place in the real world," she said, adding that Turkey becoming more prosperous is a good sign for the future.
