NATO spokesman praises Turkey's role in Afghanistan

NATO places great importance on the meeting on Afghanistan in London tomorrow, and the gathering of Afghanistan's neighbors in Istanbul today, said NATO spokesman James Appathurai yesterday. Underlining Turkey's geographical and cultural proximity to Afghanistan and its position at NATO, Appathurai said that no other country can play Turkey's role in Afghanistan.
