NATO's Bayley visits tent camp in Hatay
NATO Parliamentary Assembly President Hugh Bayley yesterday visited a tent city hosting 3,500 Syrian citizens in the Yayladag district of Hatay province. Bayley said the humanitarian crisis in Syria could spread to other countries and added that the humanitarian aid provided for Syria should reach everyone. “I'm representing the British Government here and will report to my assembly as well that we should put more pressure to stop this atrocity," Bayley said, noting that Turkey has provided Europe with the opportunity of comprehending the nature of the civil war and the burden shouldered by Turkey. Bayley also met with Hatay Governor Celalettin Lekesiz and other officials during his visit.
