A group of members of the Turkish Industrialists' and Businessmen's Association (TUSIAD) has established the Paris Bosphorus Institute, a new French-based think-thank, in a bid to strengthen relations between Turkey and France. TUSIAD said the group would work to enhance economic, social, geopolitical and cultural relations between the two countries. Founding members of the group and TUSIAD head Arzuhan Dogan Yalcindag said that in concentrating their efforts on relations with France this year, they decided to establish the think-tank to have direct contact with the French public. The group, chaired by former TUSIAD General Secretary Haluk Tukel, will be formally founded in Paris today.
