Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality planted trees and flowers to make arrangements in destroyed parts of Taksim Gezi Park. Tents were removed and banners were taken down. The municipality has been continuously doing works in the park since Sunday. Lighting columns were also renewed in the park. At the end of the whole work, municipal workers will have planted 202,000 seasonal flowers, 100 trees and 5,000 roses in Taksim's Gezi Park, which was cleared three days ago after being occupied for 19 days by people protesting plans to destroy the park to build a development project.
