OECD: Turkey gives a helping hand worldwide

According to the OECD data, Turkey increased its official development figures by 38.2 percent, at a time when developed countries are implementing austerity measures to prevent the global crisis from worsening and decreasing their international development aids. A report prepared by OECD indicates that international development aids fell by 2.8 percent to decrease to $133.5 billion, whereas Turkey has increased this amount by 38.2 percent to climb from $967 million to $1.3 billion in 2010. The report also says that Greece is the one which has decreased its contributions to the OECD development fund the most with a rate of 39.3 percent, whereas Spain decreased its contributions by 32.7 percent last year due to the crisis.
