The Organization for Islamic Cooperation (OIC) decided to take action for Arakan Muslims who have been facing ethnical cleansing by the Myanmar state. The OIC has brought together representatives of member countries in Geneva last Friday. During the meeting, solutions were sought to ensure that the UN Commission on Human Rights (UNCHR) to create immediate solutions and develop a permanent mechanism for the Rohingya Muslim minority in the Arakan state of Myanmar and protect their legitimate rights. In a final declaration of the meeting, OIC diplomats in Myanmar were advised to make a visit to the "Northern Arakan State" and the ambassador of Myanmar in Geneva was conveyed about this decision.  OIC Secretary General Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu is set to urgently convene the executive committee with regard to the Rohingya Muslim minority. The meeting to be held on the permanent representatives' level on August 5 will be also attended by Arakan Rohingya Union (ARU) General Director Wakar Uddin.
