Pakistani General gets Turkish Medal of Merit

In honor of the close friendship and dedication between their two countries, Chief of General Staff Gen. Ilker Basbug yesterday conferred the Turkish Armed Forces Medal of Merit upon his Pakistani counterpart Gen. Tariq Majit. Basbug welcomed Majit at the General Staff headquarters with a military ceremony. Turkey and Pakistan have a friendly relationship based on historical ties, Basbug said in his speech.
