PM Erdogan promises to seek consensus on new constitution

Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan yesterday vowed to seek a consensus among all sectors of society to draw up a new constitution. "The people have given us the duty to make a new constitution," Erdogan told reporters after his party's historic third general elections. "And we will do it together with the opposition. It will be the constitution of Turks, Kurds, Alevis and Sunnis."
