Political leaders meet at reception hosted by Cicek

In his opening remarks to the Parliament yesterday, Parliament Speaker Cemil Cicek said that we have many problems to be solved both at national and international level, adding, "We should solve these problems by humanely discussing, respecting and reconciling with each other." Cicek also hosted a reception yesterday on the occasion of the opening of the new legislative year, with the attendance of high state officials and their spouses including President Abdullah Gul, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Chief of General Staff Gen. Necdet Ozel and opposition leaders. US Ambassador to Turkey Francis Ricciardone and Head of Constitutional Court Hasim Kilic  were also among the guests at the reception.
