President Abdullah Gul has been named among the most effective diplomatic actors in the world in a list put out by the Agence France-Presse (AFP) which measures how world leaders effectively use Twitter to pursue diplomatic efforts and goals. The president often shares his opinions on various issues via the platform as well as photos from his trips. Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan is also named among the top leaders on the list. He came in 12th place with 1,818 points and 1,851,734 followers. US President Barack Obama came first on the list, with 20,278 points and 20,823,285 followers.
