"Wise Man" Gonzalez: "Turkey should be a member of the EU"

In a new book, former Spanish Prime Minister Felipe Gonzalez, who chairs a special European Union "wise men" committee examining the bloc's future, reverses his previous public opposition to Turkey's EU membership. In his "My Idea of Europe," Gonzalez argues that when Turkey's negotiations are concluded, Europe must keep its promises, or negative consequences will follow.
