Remarks by Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan coming out against providing arms to Libyan opposition forces yesterday afternoon led to a demonstration in front of the Turkish Consulate in Benghazi. Speaking for the protestors, Muhammed Bayku criticized Erdogan's remarks. In the evening, another group armed with knives and guns attacked the consulate building. The group called for the Turkish flag to be taken down.
