Rinc attends 1st Children and Media Congress

Deputy Prime Minister Bulent Arinc has delivered a speech on Thursday at the 1st Children and Media Congress in Istanbul. During his speech, Arinc said that media was the new friend of children, leading them to develop both good and bad habits. He described today's children as the screen generation and added that the new generation surprised everyone with their use of new media. Arinc also underlined that children's exposure to violence on the screen might cause them to copy certain behaviors. The congress, first of its kind in Turkey, was organized by the Directorate General of Press and Information, the Children's Foundation and the Supreme Board of Radio and Television.
