Russian tourists set to enjoy visa-free travel to Turkey this summer
Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu yesterday called the recently signed visa exemption agreement between Turkey and Russia a revolutionary step. Speaking at a televised interview, Davutoglu said that Russian tourists could visit Turkey without visas this summer. Turkish businesspeople, intellectuals and tourists will be able to travel to Russia without a need for visa, he added. Stating that the competition between Turkey and Russia had turned into cooperation, Davutoglu said the High Level Strategic Cooperation Council model developed by Turkey to improve relations with neighboring and regional countries could make great contributions to the Turkish economy if it leads to economic integration.
