French President Nicolas Sarkozy received representatives of Armenian community in the country at Elysee Palace. Sarkozy who presented the Legion d'Honneur reward to 95 years old Arsene Tchakarian who was member of the communist resistance group against Nazis during the Second World War, said he will not let the bill that makes the denial of genocide a crime go despite the cancellation decision of the Constitutional Council. "Armenians should also have the right for protection through a law provided for the denial to be considered as a crime like the others," he said, adding that no matter what, he will bring it forward. Tchakarian thanked Sarkozy for his faith in the Armenian case and for the things he has done for them.
