Speaking to reporters about the meeting held by Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and US President Barack Obama, White House National Security Council Senior Director for European Affairs Elizabeth Sherwood-Randall said yesterday that two leaders spoke about the need to increase pressure on Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's regime so that a result fulfilling Syrian people's wishes could be yielded. She stated that the two countries' assessments about the situation in Syria overlap, which is very important.
