The Vatican is set to showcase an exhibit of maps by legendary Ottoman cartographers. The exhibit, called "The Ottoman Worldview from Piri Reis to Katip Celebi," organized by Bahcesehir University's Center for Civilization Studies and sponsored by the Culture and Tourism Ministry, will open next Tuesday and run through Dec. 8, following successful stops in California, Paris, Syria and Latvia. The Vatican is currently the show's last venue, but future visits are planned to Europe, America, the Middle East and Central Asia.
