Three Turks in German Christian Democrats' decision making bodies

Emine Demirbuken Wegner was elected to Executive Board during the Christian Democratic Union's (CDU) 25th Annual Congress held in Hannover yesterday. CDU Federal Executive Board elections were held during the Congress. CDU Berlin State deputy Emine Demirbuken Wegner, a politician of Turkish descent was among the elected 14 members despite her immigrant identity. Minister of Social Affairs, Women, Families, Health and Integration in the state of Lower Saxony Aygul Ozkan and North Ren Westphalia state parliament member Serap Guler were also elected to governing board of the CDU.
