TRT launches website offering news in 30 languages

The state-run Turkish Radio and Television Corporation (TRT) yesterday started webcasting and posting news in 30 languages, including English, German, Arabic, Albanian, Azeri Turkish, Bosnian, Bulgarian, Chinese, Persian, Georgian, Spanish, Greek, Urdu and Tatar. The new service, available at www.trt-world.com, covers international, regional and national news. TRT Director General Ibrahim Sahin said that the website has already been visited by half a million people.
