Turkey and Britain sign a joint declaration on migration cooperation
Interior Minister Idris Naim Sahin yesterday received British Home Secretary and Minister for Women and Equality Theresa May at his office. The two ministers held a joint press conference after signing a joint declaration on preventing illegal migration. Speaking at the conference, Sahin said that Turkey's cooperation with Britain covered a wide area on such issues as fighting terrorism, as well as preventing all the cross-border organized crimes, smuggling, drug trafficking and combating illegal migration and financial crimes. Speaking in her part, May said that Britain has expelled one of important heads of the PKK which is considered a terrorist organization by Britain, and reaffirmed her country's support for Turkey in its fight against the terrorist PKK.
