Gul and Bolkiah held a news conference at the palace after a meeting between their delegations. "We are very pleased to announce that permanent representative offices will be opened in both countries, in their capitals. We have made this decision," said Gul. The president also said Turkey and Brunei have signed agreements for economic, commercial and technical cooperation in addition to removal of visa requirements between the two countries. For his part, Bolkiah said embassies to be opened in both countries will help further develop bilateral cooperation between Turkey and Brunei, adding his appreciation for Turkey's hospitality during his visit. "We follow and greatly appreciate Turkey's improvements in all fields. We hope that you will share your deep experience and knowledge of development with our people. I offer my thanks to the esteemed president for inviting me to Turkey and giving me the chance to see Turkey's historical and religious wealth. I hope that we will show same kind of perfect hospitality to you when you visit our sultanate," said Bolkiah.
