Turkey and Sweden sign strategic partnership agreement
Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu and his Swedish counterpart Carl Bildt on Tuesday signed a strategic partnership agreement at a ceremony in Stockholm which was attended by President Abdullah Gul and Swedish Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt. Speaking at the signing ceremony, Reinfeldt said that the agreement would pave the way for deeper cooperation between Sweden and Turkey. The partnership agreement underlines that Sweden and Turkey are two globally active actors and that cooperation between the two countries is quite important. The agreement envisages the further deepening of rooted relations between the two countries.
