Turkey plans regional ceonference on Afghanistan in november

Amid the recent upheavals in the Middle East and North Africa, Ankara is preparing to host a regional conference on Afghanistan this November. "As Afghanistan is undergoing such a critical time, having close contacts with third countries and partners involved in assisting Afghanistan is very important," said Burak Akcapar, deputy director-general for South Asia at the Foreign Ministry. "Turkey has intensified its efforts to help Afghanistan through these hard times."
