Turkey spends TL 600 million for Syrian refugees

Turkey spent TL 600 million for 160,000 Syrian refugees who have been taking shelter in Turkey for the last two years. Touching on the issue, Chairman of Turkey's Disaster and Emergency Management Directorate (AFAD) Fuat Oktay said that they provided all types of services to the Syrian refugees living in seven different Turkish provinces. "Turkey has spent TL 600 million for the Syrian refugees to date. The international aid sent to Turkey for the Syrian refugees was only TL 30 million. We wish to see an increase in the amount of international assistance for the Syrian refugees," Oktay added.
