Turkish Deputy Prime Minister and government spokesman Bulent Arinc yesterday said that the Cabinet has signed a decree approving Turkey's donation of 37,000 tons of flour to Syria. Speaking at a press conference following yesterday's Cabinet meeting, the deputy prime minister touched upon a wide array of political and social issues that were discussed at the meeting. To the festering Syrian conflict, Arinc said Turkey will deliver 37,000 tons of flour to the battered Syria. He stated that the attack on a bakery that left dozens of people dead on Sunday was discussed among ministers and led them to review the bread crisis in many parts of the country in a bid to take an action. He said the 37,000 tons of flour will be delivered to the Syrian civilians, who face a shortage of bread and flour, through the Turkish Red Crescent.
