Turkey warns citizens to avoid road travel in Egypt

Turkey's Foreign Ministry has warned its nationals who are based in Egypt or set to travel to the country to avoid traveling on roads in the country. "It is advised that travelers should avoid road trips, excluding direct flights, to holiday resorts, and they should keep away from venues of protests," the ministry said in a written statement on Saturday. The statement added that Turkish nationals can contact the Turkish Embassy in Cairo and Consulate-General in Alexandria as well as the consular call center in case of emergency.
