Turkey's fruit and vegetable production increases

A statement from the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock said that Turkey's fruit and vegetable production has climbed to 44.5 million tones, and thus Turkey ranked the fourth and sixth in terms of vegetable and fruit production, respectively worldwide. The total production of fruits and vegetables is expected to reach 46 million tons in 2012 and export revenues which amounted to $534 million in 2002 are estimated to climb to $2.5 billion with an increase by 368 percent.
