Turkish Foreign Minister visits Serbia for regional meeting
Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu is visiting Serbia to attend a regional ministerial meeting and to take part in bilateral talks. Davutoglu will represent Turkey at the informal foreign ministers' meeting of the Southeastern European Countries Cooperation Process on Tuesday in Serbia, which is currently holding the rotating term presidency. A statement released by the Turkish Foreign Ministry said on Monday that the meeting is bringing Balkan nations together and is the only cooperation initiative in the region. The statement also said the latest developments in the region and the Serbia activity program will be discussed during the meeting. It added that Davutoglu will also hold bilateral talks with the foreign ministers of member countries. It was also noted that Turkey attaches importance to the initiative as it is helpful in ensuring enduring peace and stability in the region, fostering good neighborly relations and regional cooperation.
