Turkish friendship group heads send fellow congressmen letter backing Turkish-Armenian normalization

Congresspeople Robert Wexler, Edward Whitfield and Kay Granger, co-chairs of the US House of Representatives Turkish Friendship Group, this week sent a letter to their fellow House members backing a recent protocol signed by Turkey and Armenia. "We are heartened by the significant progress made by Armenia and Turkey toward normalizing their bilateral relations," it said. "This historic development between Armenia and Turkey is critical to ensuring peace, security and prosperity in the South Caucasus region.”
