Turkish PM has offered condolences to Obama over killing of U.S Ambassador in Benghazi

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has offered his condolences to U.S. President Barack Obama over the killing of U.S. Ambassador to Libya Christopher Stevens in an attack on Wednesday in Benghazi. In a statement released on Thursday, Prime Ministry Press Information Office stated Turkish PM Erdogan sent a letter of condolence to U.S. President Obama over their losses in Benghazi. "I feel deeply sorry over the killing of U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other U.S. officials who passed away following the attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi. We do share your bitterness heartily. Turkey will continue to cooperate with U.S. on counter terrorism in upcoming period," Erdogan stated in his letter. "Innocence of Muslims", a two-hour movie produced and directed by Sam Bacile, a U.S. citizen of Israeli descent, sparked angry assaults by ultra-conservative Muslims on U.S. missions in Egypt and Libya as it attacks Islam's Holy Prophet Muhammad. The U.S. ambassador to Libya and three American members of his staff were killed in an attack on U.S. Consulate in Benghazi.
