According to the Transatlantic Trends survey carried out by German Marshall Fund of the US, the majority of Turks are against leadership of the US worldwide. The survey carried out on 13 European countries, including Turkey, and 1,000 people from the US shows that 54 percent of Europeans want the US to display a strong leadership worldwide and 72 percent of them favor the US leadership, whereas 69 percent of Turks are against it. The majority of Turks taking the survey don’t favor the anti-terrorism strategy applied by US President Barrack Obama, either. Furthermore, they don’t think that war is necessary to obtain justice, just like Europeans, whereas 75 percent of Americans think that it’s necessary under certain circumstances.
