Turks contribute to CMS experiments at CERN

The Times of Oman reported that two Turkish professors, namely, Mehmet Koca and his wife Nazife Koca, from the Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) have made "significant contributions" to the CMS experiments at the Geneva-based CERN. Reportedly, the couple who have been working on high energy physics since 1980s made significant contributions to the experiments at CERN in the last few years. Mehmet Koca received his PhD degree from the Middle East Technical University in 1971. He worked for the Cukurova University until 1977, and then lectured at some universities in the US, Germany and Japan. Nazife Koca who has also a PhD degree has been working as a lecturer in Oman since 1998.
