TUSKON gathers businessmen from 85 countries in Istanbul

The 11th Turkey-World Trade Bridge summit started under coordination of the Turkish Confederation of Businessmen and Industrialists (TUSKON) and the Turkish Exporters' Assembly (TIM) yesterday in Istanbul. The summit to be attended by 750 foreign businessmen from 85 countries, as well as approximately 1,000 Turkish businessmen, aims to contribute to establishing commercial and investment relations between Turkish and foreign businessmen. Speaking at the inauguration of summit, Economy Minister Zafer Caglayan stressed that the Central Bank was in a process of important changes and transformation. Speaking in his part, TUSKON Chairman Rizanur Meral said that this year's summit targeted the fast moving consumer goods sectors including such product groups of cleaning, hygiene and cosmetics, as well as food, food machinery, agricultural and stockbreeding products, agricultural machinery, equipment and raw materials. TIM Chairman Mehmet Buyukeksi said that cooperation between TUSKON and TIM would continue to be reflected on both export and economy in a positive way thanks to the summit. At the end of the summit, a cooperation agreement was signed between TUSKON and the Ukrainian Union of Businessmen and Employers in a ceremony also attended by Caglayan.
