Stating that the oil exploration work in Mediterranean conducted by Turkey has been continuing in line with a certain calendar, Energy Minister Taner Yildiz yesterday said that if need arises, the TPAO, Turkey's national oil company, will buy an oil drilling platform amounting to 1,5 billion American dollars. In an answer to a question why Turkey hasn't carried out any exploration work until now, Yildiz said, "We have conducted some work in our field as part of a plan. If the waters in which legal problems remain unsolved are in question, this time we would made the same mistake made by Greek Cypriots. Now we're technically responding to a political question."
